The Vinghøg Ringmounts is designed to carry a Light Machine Guns (LMG) to be fitted on military vehicles and trucks.

The Ringmount is recommended to be used together with Vinghøg Buffermount as a system, and Buffermounts are available for the weapons Mag58 (M240)/Minimi (M249) from FN Herstal and MG-3 from Rheinmetall. The Buffermount design can be adapted to other LMG weapons on demand.

The overall system with Ringmount and Buffermount will significantly improve the handling of the LMG, and increase the accuracy. This system will be a simple way to solve the increased need of convoy protection and has encouraged many nations to place weapons on trucks and light vehicles.

The traverse carriage can be fix in any position and runs easily on the ring. The interface between the ring and weapon/ buffermount is based on NATO standard pintle.
